Dr. Mohamed Khafagy

Dr. Mohamed Khafagy – Academic Leader in Computer Science and Data Science, Prof. Khafagy is a distinguished professor, researcher, and leader in the field of computer science and Data Science. He currently serves as the Dean School of Computing & Data Science, Badya University.

Dr. Khafagy’s research focuses on Big Data, Cloud Computing, Distributed Databases, Data Mining, and Machine Learning. His work has contributed significantly to the advancement of knowledge in these fields, with over 50,000 reads on ResearchGate and a growing list of influential publications. He has been a key player in establishing AI and robotics labs at Fayoum University, transforming it into a hub for innovation and technological advancement.

His leadership roles include serving as Dean,Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Postgraduate Research, and Community Service at Fayoum University, where he initiated key reforms and projects that enhanced the university’s academic offerings and infrastructure. He also served as the Director of the Electronic Exams Center for the Supreme Council of Universities, where he led national efforts in electronic exam implementation.

Internationally, Dr. Khafagy has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as Tu-Berlin Germany ,Nottingham University in the UK, KIT University in Germany, and King Mongkut’s University in Thailand. His work on international projects has been funded by prominent organizations, including the British Council and the European Commission.

Dr. Khafagy’s expertise extends beyond academia, as he has worked as a consultant and trainer for prominent organizations like Oracle, Telecom Egypt, and Coca-Cola. He holds several Oracle certifications, including Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) and Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) in database administration.

Recognized for his contributions to the field, Dr. Khafagy has received multiple awards, including the International Outstanding Scientist Award from Venus International Foundation and the Excellence in Scientific Research Award from Fayoum University. He continues to lead cutting-edge research in Big Data optimization, cloud computing, and machine learning, making him a highly influential figure in both academia and industry.
